Last week we had a chance to go to Nashville where we taped a 30-minute show called 1 Music Village that airs on JC TV, part of the Trinity Broadcasting Network family. It was something completely new for us, but a lot of fun nonetheless. We recruited a great band of old and new friends: Leslyn Ichter on background vocals, Clint Milburn, an old bandmate from BDA on electric guitar, Scott Williamson, our friend and producer on drums, and Seth Marcum, a fantastic bass player.
We began the day at Soundcheck Nashville for rehearsal, where we tried valiantly to make it through each song without goofing off. Paul Wilmuth made an appearance, and he met a new friend, Leslie Itcher, who is an artist of similarly unique talent.
After a great breakfast at Jack's Barbecue we headed up to the TBN...
We are overwhelmed! The final total for donations and CD sales from the CD release concert is $10,574.60. That's over 528 radios, each impacting 10-15 southern Sudanese. Isn't it amazing that over 5000 Sudanese will get to hear the Gospel just because of your gifts? Thank you for your support and your generosity!
Thank you to everyone who came out for the CD release concert on Sunday night with Bebo Norman. We were so excited to share new music with you, as well as the story and purpose behind it all. We'll know soon just how much money was raised and how many radios can be purchased. We'll be sure to keep you updated. Thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement!
Music for the Radio is now available on iTunes! So if you have a friend from outside the Houston area that wants to check out the music please pass it along.
We're also hard at work on two new websites, daveandjessray.com and musicfortheradio.org, which will be in operation shortly. We'll tell you more about that soon. For now here are a few pics from the concert courtesy of Jim Idiaquez:
